Terms of use for the LVI-INFO.fi search service

Search service and use of product information

Effective from 1 September 2026.

The LVI-INFO.fi search service is an open and free service intended primarily for professional use. The service allows users to search for, compare and download product information and documents for products with an LVI-number.

The information presented in the search service is based on data maintained by manufacturers, importers and other customers of the LVI-INFO.fi service. LVI-numero Oy is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, up-to-dateness or suitability of the information for any particular purpose. Where necessary, users should verify the information with the product manufacturer or supplier.

Use of product information

Product information and documents downloaded from the search service may be used in the user’s own activities, for example for design, procurement and product comparison. Product information downloaded from the LVI-INFO.fi product information register may not be copied, stored or transferred to the user’s own or a third party’s information systems, databases or other product information registers.

The material may not be used in a way that gives false or misleading information about a product, its properties, its manufacturer or its supplier.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to product information, images, documents and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Downloading the material does not transfer any such rights to the user.

Liability and acceptance of the terms of use

LVI-numero Oy is not liable for any damage resulting from the use of the search service or the information contained in it, nor does it guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service, unless otherwise required by mandatory legislation.
